JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya revealed a case of account burglary using skimming mode. The perpetrators are two foreign nationals (WNA).

"The skimming case was carried out by 2 foreigners and one Indonesian citizen," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, September 15.

The two foreigners are Vladimir Kasarski from Russia and Nikolay Georgiev from the Netherlands. Meanwhile, one Indonesian citizen, namely Rudi Wahyu.

In this skimming crime, said Yusri, the two foreigners played an important role. Both steal and duplicate customer data with blind cards.

"Stealing bank customer data using existing skimming. So there is a tool that he installs at the ATM to steal data, so every customer takes an ATM with his card and then with this tool customer data can be stolen," said Yusri.

The perpetrators' actions were revealed because some of their victims were customers of state-owned banks. The victims denied any withdrawal of funds from their accounts.
