JAKARTA - The Director of Convict Development and Production Job Training (Binapi Latkerpro) of the Directorate General of PAS, Thurman Hutapea, said that Samuel Machado Nhavene's body was a foreign national (WNA) from Nigeria.

The statement rectifies previous information which stated that one of the two foreigners who were victims of the deadly fire case at the Class I Tangerang prison was a South African citizen.

"Actually, initially the information was a South African citizen, after communication to the embassy was not recognized, then it was transferred to Mozambique, from Mozambique to Nigeria," Thurman told reporters, Wednesday, September 15.

With this coordination, said Thurman, the Nigerian Embassy has come to Tangerang Class I Prison. They acknowledged that Samuel Machado Nhavene was a Nigerian citizen.

"Hopefully good communication will continue to be established, as soon as we will submit additional supporting documents," he said.

Previously, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that the remaining two bodies had not been identified. They are Samuel Machado Nhavene and Bambang Guntara Wibisana.

"Physically, they have been identified, but once again, the DVI team still needs certain data to be more convincing," said Rusdi.
