GUNUNG KIDUL - The Government of Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, has begun to carry out face-to-face learning trials because it is in the Level 3 Community Activity Restriction Zone.

Acting Head of the Gunung Kidul Education, Youth and Sports Office (Disdikpora), Ali Ridlo said his party had issued a circular regarding face-to-face learning (PTM) on Monday, September 13 yesterday.

"Today, all kindergarten, elementary, and junior high schools have carried out a PTM trial. PTM is all PAUD, SD, SMP. But regarding the schedule and number of hours of lessons it is left to the education unit," he said in Gunung Kidul. , Between, Tuesday, September 14.

PTM at the SD-SMP level applies 50 percent of the capacity of each class, while for PAUD applies 33 percent of the capacity per class.

"Earlier I checked the Kemiri 1 Tanjungsari Elementary School was already in, but not all the children entered. So yesterday the big class came in, then the next class was like that. But it was still arranged that one room was 50 percent of the children, and later the next hour 50 percent of the children ," he said.

Ali also said that he dared to hold PTM because the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination for teenagers in Gunung Kidul was almost 80 percent. Moreover, all teachers and educators have received the COVID-19 vaccination.

"From the data we received, for 12 years and over 76 percent more," he said.

Although he has implemented PTM on a limited basis, Ali admitted that PTM can be held if parents agree. If there are parents who do not agree, they can provide distance learning.

"If parents ask for distance learning, we will still serve it. If all parents agree that they want face-to-face learning and the school is ready, we will hold a limited PTM," he said.

Ali said the reference for the implementation of PTM was contained in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 42 of 2021 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 4, Level 3 and Level 2 COVID in the Java and Bali regions.

"The length of study for students during the PTM is limited according to each school. We only ask that face-to-face meetings don't last long and don't be burdened with heavy things, because we haven't seen each other for more than a year," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the parents of SD Negeri Paliyan 4, Ganjar Fitriana, admitted that he was happy that his son could return to school as usual. PTM will reduce the intensity of their children in operating a mobile phone or android.

"I am very happy, if learning from home is not optimal, I play more than study," he said.
