Absentee, AGO Resumes Alex Noerdin Related To PDPDE Case

JAKARTA - Jampidsus investigators at the Attorney General's Office have scheduled the recall of Alex Noerdin as a witness in the case of alleged corruption in the purchase of natural gas by the BUMD of the Regional Mining and Energy Company (PDPDE) of South Sumatra for the 2010-2019 period.

The Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Supardi, said this was done because Alex Noerdin, who is also the former Governor of South Sumatra, was absent or absent from the first summons on Monday, September 13.

"The person concerned did not come, asking for a delay, because there is still a DPR session," Supardi said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 14.

According to Supardi, investigators need Alex Noerdin's information regarding the flow of funds in the alleged PDPDE corruption case.

However, Supardi was reluctant to reveal further about the material for the examination to be carried out on the Golkar politician.

Supardi confirmed that a question for Alex would be made this week. "To deepen the investigation, we are still calling this week," said Supardi.

In the PDPDE case, the Indonesian Attorney General's Office has named two suspects, namely the initials CISS as the President Director of the South Sumatra PDPDE for the 2008 period and the Director of PT Dika Karya Lintas Nusa with the initials AYH.

Based on an audit by the State Audit Board (BPK), this case is suspected to have caused state losses of US$ 30 million from gas sales revenues minus operating costs for the period 2010 to 2019.

Then, the loss was also calculated from the paid-in capital that should not have been paid by the South Sumatra PDPDE of US$63,750. Previously, the Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak explained that this case occurred between 2010-2019. The South Sumatra Provincial Government received an allocation to purchase the state's share of natural gas from JOB PT Pertamina, Talisman Ltd, Pacific Oil and Gas Ltd, Jambi Merang (JOB Jambi Merang) in the amount of 15 MMSCFD based on the decision of the Oil and Gas Management Agency (BP Migas) at the request of the Governor South Sumatra Alex Noerdin.

BP Migas' decision appoints BUMD PDPDE South Sumatra as the buyer of the country's share of natural gas. However, with the argument that PDPDE does not have technical experience and funds, South Sumatra PDPDE in collaboration with private investors, PT Dika Karya Lintas Nusa (DKLN) formed a joint venture company PT PDPDE Gas with a composition of 15 percent share ownership for South Sumatra PDPDE and 85 percent for PT DKLN .

Leonard added that investigators are still continuing their investigations to find other suspects who are suspected of having participated in the corruption crime of purchasing natural gas by BUMD PDPDE South Sumatra in 2010-2019.
