Kimia Farma Suspension Of Employees Arrested By Densus 88

JAKARTA - General Director of PT Kimia Farma Tbk Verdi Budidarmo confirmed that an employee with the initials S was arrested by the Police Anti-terror Detachment 88 Team in Bekasi, West Java.

According to him, the company has taken a stand by imposing suspension and temporary release from duties while undergoing examination by law enforcement officials.

"Temporary release from duties while undergoing examination by the authorities starting September 10, 2021," he said in a written statement, Sunday, September 12.

Verdi said that if the employee is legally found guilty, he or she will be subject to severe sanctions in accordance with applicable company regulations in the form of dishonorable termination of employment and will automatically no longer be part of the company.

"If the person concerned is not proven guilty on suspicion of being involved in a terrorist network, the company will take action to support the restoration of his good name," he said.

Verdi stressed that PT Kimia Farma Tbk does not tolerate acts of radicalism and terrorism in any form, including within the company. Therefore, his party is ready to support the apparatus in combating this unscrupulous act.

"Kimia Farma fully supports the efforts of all law enforcement officers to combat terrorism throughout the company and supports the efforts of law enforcement officials to legally process the actions taken by these employees in accordance with applicable law," he explained.

As previously reported, the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 Team again arrested four suspected terrorists in different locations in Bekasi, West Java on Friday, September 10. Allegedly, these four people are members of the terrorist network Jemaah Islamiyah (JI).
