Illegal Parking Bags Cause Traffic Jams, Central Jakarta Transportation Agency Will Conduct Large-Scale Raids

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Transportation Agency will conduct large-scale raids related to controlling illegal parking at a number of points in Central Jakarta.

Head of the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department (Kasudinhub), Wildan Anwar, said that his party plans to curb illegal parking. The target is online motorcycle taxis, city transportation and private cars that are still stubborn.

"In the near future, we will carry out large-scale raids. We will take firm action against vehicles that are stubbornly parked in any place because they cause traffic jams," he said when contacted by reporters, Saturday, September 11.

Wildan said that his party had recorded that there were several points of illegal parking pockets in Central Jakarta. Like in the Senen area, in front of Tanah Abang Station, in front of Tanah Abang Market, the Red Pal area, and the Roxy Area.

"We will follow up by being towed for four-wheeled vehicles or more or hauling nets for two-wheeled vehicles," he said.

Anwar promised that within three months he would increase the control over illegal parking in Central Jakarta.
