Lulled By The Sweet Promise Of Marriage, 10 Widows In The City Of Semarang Were Deceived By An Unemployed Man From Garut

A man was arrested by Semarang Police after defrauding 10 widows (ANTARA)

SEMARANG - As many as 10 women with widow status in Semarang City, Central Java (Central Java), were deceived by a man named Yandi alias Reski alias Ferizal alias Helski.

Through a social application, the man admitted to marrying the victims. To make them believe, the perpetrator admitted to working in an oil company with a fantastic salary.

Yandi's persuasion was successful. The victim became more confident, when this 28-year-old man rented a car to show his social status. "In fact, the perpetrators are unemployed," explained Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar in Semarang, Antara, Friday, September 10.

In his action, the resident from Garut, West Java asked for money from a widow victim to use to set up a business. In total there were 6 victims who reported because the money was drained.

"From the victims who reported, some were deceived up to Rp. 60 million," he also said.

From this action, the perpetrators managed to get money from the victims with a total of Rp. 179 million.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 372 of the Criminal Code on Embezzlement and or Article 378 of the Criminal Code on Fraud.
