'The Most Beautiful Former Mrs. Sara' Is Again Famous In Bangka Regency

BANGKA - The Bangka Regency Government, Bangka Belitung Islands is again happy because it succeeded with 'The Most Beautiful Former Mrs. Sara'.

Don't go anywhere just yet. The meaning of "Bu Sara the Most Beautiful Former" is an innovation program for the People's Palm Oil Plantation Utilizing the Integrated Land of the Company and the Government.

The Head of the Bangka Regency Food and Agriculture Office, Elius Gani, said that the innovation of "Bu Sara the Most Beautiful" was motivated by her passion and commitment to improve the welfare of the communities around the oil palm plantation companies. The problem is that so far, the income as laborers in plantation companies is still low.

"The people around the palm oil company are categorized as poor because they have lost access to land, so they are only laborers with low incomes in the company," said Elius as quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 9.

The innovation of "Bu Sara Mantan Terindah" is the policy of the Bangka Regency Government to synergize the plantation companies, banks, plantation farming communities so that farmers have their own oil palm plantations. At least social inequality can be reduced. In addition, it expands job opportunities and increases family income.

"The innovation of "Bu Sara Mantan Terindah" puts forward a concrete, holistic and systemic approach, such as farmers being able to own oil palm plantations only with land capital, plantation productivity according to the standards of oil palm plantation cultivation," he explained.

This innovation has a significant positive impact where as many as 915 farmer families in Bangka Regency already have their own oil palm plantations with a total lias of approximately 1,651.96 hectares with farmer incomes in a month being able to reach IDR 5 to 5 million per two months.

"Directly, the positive impact of the development of "Bu Sara Mantan Terindah" innovation is able to support programs to eradicate poverty, end hunger, decent work and economic growth, reduce inequality and partnerships to achieve goals," said Elius Gani.

This innovation also succeeded in replicating the area from five villages to 18 villages, five farmer groups to 28 farmer groups, 125 family heads to 915 families from 250 hectares to 1,651.96 hectares and from one partner company to four partner companies.
