Police Arrest Husband Of Wife Persecution To Death In Garut

GARUT - The Garut Police Team arrested a husband who abused his wife to death in Selaawi District, Garut Regency, West Java.

The Head of the Limbangan Sector, Kompol Uus Susilo, confirmed that there was a case of domestic violence perpetrated by the initials AN (27) against his wife MM (25) until she died from stab wounds.

"His wife was abused by her husband," said Uus, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 8.

The incident was reported at around 14.00 WIB at their home in Cibingbin Village, Cirapuhan Village, Selaawi District.

Before the violence occurred, said Uus, the husband and wife had been noisy, until the violence ended which caused the victim's wife to die.

After committing the violence, said Uus, the perpetrator tried to end his life by slitting his throat but was prevented from doing so, then secured and taken to the hospital.

"Her husband tried to kill himself but didn't die," said the police chief.

He said the perpetrator had now been taken to the Dr Slamet Garut Regional General Hospital for medical treatment. While his wife died when he was about to be taken to the local health center.

Uus said the case was still being investigated by the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit by collecting evidence and witness statements at the scene.
