JAKARTA - A joint team from the Attorney General's Office and the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office has arrested fugitive Joko Sutrisno, involved in corruption in the Implementation of the XVII Vocational Student Skills Competition (LKS) and the Vocational Exhibition at the Directorate General of Primary and Secondary Education Management, Ministry of National Education 2009.

"Joko Sutrisno was arrested at Jalan Matoa Raya Number 18, Karangasem, Laweyan District, Surakarta City, Central Java, on Tuesday at 14.00 WIB," said Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information Center Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak in a written statement, Tuesday, September 7.

Loenard said the man who was born on June 8 1959 with the status of a Civil Servant at the Ministry of Education and Culture is a fugitive from the Jakarta Attorney General's Office.

Quoted by Antara, based on the Supreme Court's Decision Number: 1559K/Pid.Sus/2012 dated October 18, 2021, the convict Joko Sutrisno was declared legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption related to the Implementation of the XVII Vocational Student Skills Competition (LKS) and the 2009 Vocational Exhibition. at the Directorate General of Primary and Secondary Education Management, Ministry of National Education.

Leonard said Joko Sutrisno violated Article 3 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia Number 31 of 1999.

Then in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, resulting in a state financial loss of Rp1,838,123,000.

Leonard explained that the judge sentenced Joko Sutrisno to prison for three years and a fine of Rp. 200 million, a subsidiary of six months in prison.

Leonard revealed that Joko Sutrisno did not comply with the summons of the Jakarta Prosecutor's Office of the Prosecutor's Office, so he was put on a wanted list (DPO), then officers arrested the convict.

"Joko Sutrisno will be brought to Jakarta by the Executing Prosecutor's Team by complying with health protocols," said Leonard.

Leonard appealed through the Prosecution's Capture of Fugitives (Tabur) program to all prosecutors' DPOs to immediately surrender and be held accountable for their actions because there is no safe place for fugitives.
