JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has increased the number of locations for COVID-19 vaccination services that provide Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for the general public without the need for special conditions.

Moderna vaccines can be injected into the general public 18 years and over and Pfizer vaccines can be given to the general public 12 years and over.

Head of the DKI Health Office, Widyastuti, explained that the general public who wished to receive the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines no longer needed a certificate of approval for vaccination.

"The general public no longer needs the approval letter for Moderna and Pfizer as stated in the previous notification. Except for those who have immunocompromised conditions, such as severe comorbid diseases, autoimmune diseases, and patients on immunosuppressant therapy," said Widyastuti in a statement, Tuesday, 7 September.

Widyastuti explained that people with immunocompromised conditions need a recommendation letter from a doctor. Not only for Moderna and Pfizer, but also for other vaccine brands.

He continued, people with DKI Jakarta ID cards and domiciled in DKI Jakarta can directly visit the locations of health facilities that serve Moderna and Pfizer vaccinations.

Then, residents who live in DKI Jakarta need to bring a domicile certificate issued at least by the local RT.

"Meanwhile, people with non-DKI Jakarta ID cards can get Moderna and Pfizer vaccination services at health facilities owned by the TNI/Polri and the Ministry of Health's vertical hospital," said Widyastuti.
