Luhut Monitors There Are Still Many Restaurants Not Using The Cares Protect Application

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menkomarves) said that the government is monitoring the use of the PeduliLindung application in a number of activities.

Based on monitoring over the past week, Luhut said that there are still many restaurants and cafes that have not used PeduliLindung as a condition for visitor entry.

"We still see many restaurants/cafes that have not implemented and used the PeduliLindung application," Luhut said in a virtual press conference, Monday, September 6.

Luhut admitted that he was not tired of reminding all components of the community to comply with the Health protocol and use the PeduliLindung application in accordance with instructions from the government.

As of September 5 yesterday, the total number of people who screened using PeduliLindung in several public sectors had reached 20.9 million people.

The screening is applied in shopping centers, industry, sports and others. Of the total 20.9 million people, there are 761 thousand people who are in the red category, not allowed to enter/do activities in public places by the system.

"There are also 1,603 people with positive status and close contacts trying to carry out public activities," said Luhut.

In the future, he continued, the government will take action against people who fall under the black criteria for PeduliLindung who are still trying to carry out activities in public areas by bringing them into centralized isolation.

"This is done to protect and protect all of us," he explained.

Therefore, Luhut appealed to the public to be active in places that already use the PeduliLindung application so as to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19.
