DEPOK – Four teenage boys were detained by the Jaguar Team of the Depok Metro Police for carrying sharp weapons such as samurai and saws on Jalan Gas Alam, Cimanggis, Depok, West Java. The modified weapon will be used for brawls.

Iptu Winam Agus, Head of the Depok Police Jaguar Team, said that the arrest of the four teenagers was based on reports from the public who felt restless seeing the perpetrators carrying sharp weapons on the streets.

"After we found it turned out to be two knives, made of saws that were cut in half, then we handed them over to the Cimanggis Metro Police," he said.

Iptu Winam added that the teenagers admitted that they carried sharp weapons to protect themselves.

"He claims to be just in case when he meets the opponent in a brawl. But it is possible that these sharp weapons are used for crime, if there is an opportunity," he said.
