JAKARTA - The robbery and murder in Cibitung Village, Jalan Raya Pedurenan, Mustika Jaya, Bekasi City that killed Sri Herlina Nasution (42) was apparently caught by one of the junior high school students, a local resident.

Still based on the statement of the victim's husband, Aji Batun (51), the incident experienced by his wife was caught by a junior high school student who passed by in front of the crime scene (TKP). According to the witness, said Aji Batun, he saw the victim trying to run away from the house.

"The one who caught a junior high school student. He was playing, he wanted to go home to catch the victim and the perpetrator. Maybe my wife wanted to fight by going out the door," Aji told reporters, Friday, September 3.

When the victim tried to get out the door, the witness saw the perpetrator trying to restrain the victim from leaving his house. At that time, the witness saw the perpetrator carrying a sharp weapon. Even the witness was threatened not to scream.

"When he saw it, he immediately chased it while brandishing a sharp weapon. That means it might scare him, don't shout, report anywhere," he said.

Aji said, the incident lasted very briefly, when several residents were carrying out the Dzuhur prayer.

He hopes that the police will investigate the case immediately and catch the culprits. Aji said the area is a zone prone to street crimes such as theft and robbery.

It was previously reported that the victim's husband suspected that his wife had been involved in a robbery. He believed this after knowing his valuables were missing.

“My suspicion is that my wife was the victim of a violent robbery. Because the perpetrator was caught with my wife, and this case has been reported to the police officers to immediately arrest the culprit, "added Aji Batun.

It is known, a number of items missing from the victim's house are a bag containing cash, vehicle registration, ATM, motorcycle and the victim's identity.

When confirmed, Head of Public Relations of Bekasi City Police, Kompol Erna Ruswing Andari said that the case was being investigated by members of the East Bekasi Police.

"That's right, it is still being investigated by examining several witnesses to uncover this case," Erna said briefly.

So far, the police are still investigating the case. The police also have not provided an official statement regarding this robbery incident.
