Netted By OTT, East Kutai Regent Has Dozens Of Assets Of IDR 3.148 Billion

JAKARTA - East Kutai Regent Ismunandar, who was caught by the KPK and his wife in Jakarta, has assets of IDR 3.148 billion. This is known from the State Organizer's Wealth Report (LHKPN).

Ismunandar last reported his assets on March 17 with the type of periodic report because he was the Regent of East Kutai. Judging from his report, it was noted that Ismunandar owned dozens of lands in the East Kutai area and in Samarinda City.

He is also recorded as owning land and buildings in Samarinda City with a value of IDR 270 million. So that the total value of land and building assets he owns reaches IDR 2,934,272,000.

For wealth in the form of transportation and machinery, in his LHKPN, Ismunandar reports that he owns a Suzuki SB416 type car in 1997 with a value of Rp. 40 million.

Then he was recorded as having other movable assets of Rp.43 million and also having cash equivalents of Rp.131,038,015.

Ismunandar is the Regent of East Kutai who served in the 2016-2021 period. He was elected to replace Ardiansyah Sulaiman along with his deputy Kasmidi Bulang and was appointed on February 17, 2016 at Planary Hall Sempaja, Samarinda.

Before becoming the Regent of East Kutai, Ismu served as the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the East Kutai Regency in 2010. While his wife, Encek UR Firgasih, was the Deputy Chairman of the East Kutai DPRD.

Previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted hand arrest operations in several locations, namely Jakarta, East Kutai and Samarinda.

In this silent operation, the KPK arrested East Kutai Regent Ismunandar and his wife. The arrest was allegedly related to receiving bribes related to the procurement of goods and services within the East Kutai Regency Government.

Deputy Chairman of the KPK, Nawawi Pamolango, said that the KPK investigating team arrested the East Kutai Regent and his wife at a hotel in Jakarta. Apart from arresting the Regent, the KPK also arrested a Head of Bappeda.

"We secure the regent and his wife and a head of Bappeda from a hotel in Jakarta," told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, July 3.

The East Kutai Regent and his wife and other parties caught in the operation are currently being investigated at the KPK's Red and White House, Jakarta. This was conveyed by the Acting Spokesperson for the KPK in the field of prosecution Ali Fikri.

"For several parties who were secured in Jakarta, currently there are seven people in the KPK building and are still being investigated by the KPK team, including the East Kutai Regent and his wife," Ali said in his written statement.

Meanwhile, the number of people arrested in East Kutai and Samarinda has reached eight. They have already been investigated at the Samarinda Police and will soon be brought to Jakarta.
