CIANJUR - The Regent of Cianjur, West Java, Herman Suherman, urged all tourist attractions that have been allowed to operate to be disciplined in applying PPKM level 2 rules. Especially the strict health protocol (prokes) and only allowed to accept 25 percent of tourists from existing capacity.

"Don't let the relaxation become a temporary measure. We emphasize that all tourist attractions implement strict procedures and the number of tourists entering is no more than 25 percent of normal capacity," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Thursday, September 2.

Herman explained, with PPKM level 2 status, tourist destinations in Cianjur are allowed to reopen. However, to supervise and carry out monitoring, his party has alerted officers with vehicles to visit tourist attractions to make sure they have complied with the rules.

In fact, each tourist spot is obliged to ask tourists who come to show a letter that they have received a minimum of the first dose of vaccination in an effort to prevent the increase in the number of infections in Cianjur.

"We also will not stop reminding residents that even though they have entered level 2, the corona is still there, so residents and tourists still have to get used to the Adaptation of New Habits (IMR) when doing activities outside the home," he said.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of the Cibodas Botanical Gardens, Marga Aggrianto, said that his party would follow and comply with all the provisions and the rules set by the government, as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, including restrictions on tourists entering tourist areas.

He hopes that the reopening of tourist attractions can restore the wheels of the economy, especially for employees and business actors around the botanical gardens who have not sold for two months, thus losing their livelihood.

"We will implement strict procedures and ask tourists who come to show proof that they have received at least the first dose of vaccination, and will continue to follow the rules of 25 percent of normal capacity," he said.
