JAKARTA - The file on the alleged terrorism case involving the former FPI General Secretary, Munarman, has been transferred back to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) for investigation. So, the investigators of Densus 88 Anti-terror are just waiting for a complete decision on whether or not the case file is complete.

"Yes, it's been (Munarman's file was sent). On August 16, 2021," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan when confirmed, Tuesday, August 31.

The case file was handed over again, after the investigators completed the shortcomings from the formal and material side. And even then, following the instructions of the research prosecutor.

So, it is very likely that the submitted file will be declared complete.

"The file has been handed back to the prosecutor after the investigators fulfilled the instructions from the prosecutor," said Ramadhan.

If it is later declared complete, Densus 88 Anti-terror will immediately delegate phase 2. This means that Munarman will immediately be processed in court.

"If it is later declared complete, it will proceed to the prosecution stage," said Ramadhan.

The near completion of the case file took place in the midst of the Munarman family's distrust of involvement in terrorism cases

Muanrman's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, said his client's family considered and suspected that the case was a fabrication.

"Often (discussed with Munarman's family), yes, regarding cases that we suspect are full of fabrications and simply because he is firm in commanding ma'ruf nahi munkar," said Aziz.

Not only that, Aziz also said that his client's family often questioned various things related to Munarman. But, he refused to explain in detail about this.

"And some other things that are sometimes asked by the family," said Aziz.

It was emphasized that Munarman's condition was fine. This is because his client, who is being held at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center, is being treated well.

"Alhamdulillah, his condition is healthy and good," Aziz said.

Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 on Tuesday, April 27 at around 15.30 WIB at Modern Hills Housing, Cinangka, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

Munarman is suspected of mobilizing other people to commit acts of terrorism, having bad intentions to commit acts of terrorism and hiding information about criminal acts of terrorism.

After the arrest of Munarman, the Densus 88 team also conducted a search of the former office of the banned FPI mass organization in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. During the search, the team found explosive raw materials for TATP or triacetone triperoxide, acetone, and nitrate.
