Acting Regent Of Probolinggo Promise Of Trust To Carry Out Duties

SURABAYA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa handed over an Assignment Order (SPT) to the Deputy Regent of Probolinggo Timbul Prihanjoko, as the Acting Regent of Probolinggo. Timbul will lead Probolinggo Regency a year before the end of his term of office.

The SPT submission ceremony was held very briefly at the Grahadi State building, Surabaya, Tuesday, August 31. The activity was held simply, attended by the Forpimda of Probolinggo Regency and several East Java Provincial Government officials.

"The name Drs HA Timbul Prihanjoko holds the position of Deputy Regent of Probolinggo as Acting Regent of Probolinggo. This Task Order comes into effect from the date of stipulation on August 31 until the Regent of Probolinggo is sworn in for the remainder of his term of office," said Head of the East Java Regional Secretariat Administration Bureau, Jempin Marbun reading the Governor's Assignment Letter East Java.

After the submission of the SPT Governor, Acting Regent of Probolinggo Timbul Prihanjoko, promised to carry out the mandate well. He said he would continue the Probolinggo program and development, a year before the end of his term as Acting Regent of Probolinggo.

"Forpimda can help carry out development in Probolinggo. I will immediately run fast to complete unfinished agendas, such as discussions on the P-APBD," he said.

In accordance with Article 65 of Law 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, it is stated that regional heads who are detained are prohibited from carrying out their duties, and deputy regional heads are appointed as Plt. Currently, the Deputy Regent of Probolinggo is Timbul Prihanjoko.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named 22 suspects. Apart from Puput, the husband of the inactive Probolinggo Regent was also named a suspect, namely Hasan Aminuddin. Hasan is a member of the DPR from the NasDem Party faction. Previously, Hasan had served as Regent of Probolinggo for two terms.
