The House Is Empty, The Police Hunt For Fraudsters Who Claim To Be Close To The President And Scam Artists Of Rp75 Million

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still chasing AH, a fraudster who claims to be President Jokowi's envoy.

"AH is still being chased by the team, because the place where he lives is empty," said the West Jakarta Metro Police's General Crime Unit, AKP Avrilendy, Sunday, August 29.

The police also conducted a search of AH's house in the Gaman Villa Mulia Complex, Kembangan, West Jakarta on Friday, August 27, yesterday. Even today, investigators have raised AH's status as a suspect.

The determination of the suspect was carried out after investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police investigated reports of a fraud victim named Fahri Azmi. The young actor was deceived by the initials AH for Rp. 75 million.

"AH has been named a suspect under the suspicion of Article 372 of the Criminal Code and or 378 of the Criminal Code related to allegations of fraud or embezzlement," he said.

The police are still gathering witnesses for questioning. At least 6 witnesses have been examined.

Kanit said the two witnesses were the reporter Fahri Azmi and his friend. The witness was holding a birthday party at that time. Fahmi Azmi and AH also attended the event. Avrilendy said the two then got to know each other.

"So the victim has a friend, his friend whose birthday has known the perpetrator for two to three years. The victim and the perpetrator met at the birthday party," he said. Avrilendy said that Fahmi Azmi's colleague had been asked for information. Same thing when getting to know Fahmi. To the witness, AH admitted to working as a specialist doctor and will soon be serving as the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, replacing Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto.

It was later discovered that AH was neither a doctor nor an envoy of the President. "So far, yes (don't have a job yet), but for sure we need to look into it later. There is no work for him (AH)," he said.

The police are still investigating the fraud. Police are also still looking for the whereabouts of suspect AH.

"(The suspect) is still being chased by the field team," he said.

Previously reported, the handsome wolf actor Fahri Azmi (25) came to the West Jakarta Metro Police. Fahri's arrival is to complete the file for a fraud case of a sum of money that happened to him some time ago.

"Today is in the context of additional minutes (BAP) where investigators ask about evidence," said Fahri, Friday, August 27 yesterday.
