Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Travel Driver Murder In Aceh Who Are Hiding In Jambi

JAKARTA - A joint team from the Resmob Ditreskrimum of the Jambi Police with the Lhokseumawe Police Opsnal, the Aceh Police, and the team of the Sultan of the Tebo Police arrested a man who carried out the murder in Aceh. The perpetrator used the mode of pretending to be a passenger in a travel car and took the victim's car away.

The perpetrators were arrested by the Jambi Police Resmob team and a joint team, namely Nurdin (42). He was one of three perpetrators arrested at his hiding place in Tebo Regency, Jambi.

Jambi Police Director General of Police Kombes Kaswandi Irwan said the perpetrator carried out the murder on Thursday, June 3, along with two other perpetrators. The three perpetrators acted by pretending to be passengers of a travel car, with the intention of seizing or controlling the victim's car, which was also the driver.

The actions of the perpetrators of the murder occurred while on a lonely and dark trip, the three perpetrators immediately killed the travel driver. The driver's body was dumped by the perpetrators, then the victim's car was taken away to be sold and they shared the proceeds together.

One of the perpetrators of the murder caught by the joint team was hiding in Tebo Regency, Jambi Province, and after committing the murder in the Lhokseumawe area immediately fled to Tebo.

The resmob team then tracked down his whereabouts and assisted members of the Lhokseumawe Police in arresting the perpetrators on Thursday, August 26, at around 23.30 WIB, in the Bengkal River area, Tebo Ilir District, Tebo Regency, Jambi.

When arrested, the suspect tried to escape and resisted the officers. Therefore, decisive action was taken.

"When arrested, the perpetrator resisted, so that the perpetrator was shot in the leg, then the perpetrator was handed over to the Lhokseumawe Police Opnsal Team for further examination," said Kombes Kaswandi, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 27.
