JAKARTA - Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met with representatives of the Taliban Political Office in Doha, Qatar last Thursday, on the sidelines of a working visit to the country.

"Today, Mr. Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Political Office of DAA, and his accompanying delegation met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and her accompanying delegation in Doha," wrote Dr. M. Naeem.

"The meeting discussed the safety of Indonesian diplomats, the current situation in this country and the future of bilateral relations. The Indonesian delegation thanks the Islamic Emirate for the safety of its diplomats," continued Dr. M. Naeem.

Foreign Minister Retno conducted a meeting with Taliban officials on the sidelines of a visit to Doha, where Foreign Minister Retno met with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
