12 Soldiers Killed In Suicide Attack At Kabul Airport, President Biden: We'll Hunt You !

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden is outraged by the act of a terrorist group believed to be ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), which carried out a suicide bomb attack at Kabul airport on Thursday local time.

President Joe Biden vowed to hunt down the perpetrators of the two terrorist attacks at Kabul airport, asking the Pentagon to prepare a plan to carry out a counterattack against the group responsible.

"We will not forgive, we will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay," President Biden said at the White House, citing Reuters Friday, August 27.

President Biden said the evacuation of US citizens and troops would continue. He gave no indication of a change in Tuesday's withdrawal target, in line with the targets of the Taliban.

"I have also ordered my commanders to develop an operational plan to attack ISIS-K assets, leadership and facilities. We will respond with force and accuracy at our time, at the place we choose and at the time we choose," President Biden said.

A suicide bomb attack allegedly carried out by ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K) occurred at the gates of Kabul airport on Thursday, August 26, killing dozens of civilians and 12 US troops, leaving tens of thousands of Afghans desperate to flee into chaos.

Kabul health officials said 60 civilians were killed. Video shot by Afghan journalists showed dozens of bodies strewn around a canal on the edge of the airport. At least two explosions rocked the area, witnesses said.

The attack is believed to be the deadliest ever US service in Afghanistan in a single incident, since 30 US personnel were killed when a helicopter was shot down in August 2011.

Previously, the United States, Australia and Britain had issued warnings about the dangers of potential terrorist attacks in the vicinity of Kabul airport. The three countries issued warnings for their citizens to stay away from the area around the airport.
