Bogor City Education Office Prepares Limited PTM Trial

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government through the Education Office has again prepared a limited face-to-face learning trial (PTM) after the central government implemented PPKM Level 3, in Greater Jakarta, including Bogor City, on 23-30 August 2021.

Head of the Bogor City Education Office, Hanafi, said the PTM trial was prepared again, after the PPKM status in Bogor City was lowered from level 4 to level 3.

"After PPKM Level 3 was implemented, a number of rules were relaxed, including regarding PTM, it is allowed to carry out limited PTM, provided that vaccinations have been carried out," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 26.

According to Hanafi, the Bogor City Education Office, previously had prepared a limited PTM trial for elementary and junior high schools. In fact, for junior high schools, a limited trial has been carried out in 37 junior high schools for two weeks, from May 31 to June 16, 2021.

Due to the high number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Bogor City, he said, the Mayor of Bogor, as the Head of the Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, canceled the implementation of the PTM trial, on June 16.

According to him, the current PTM trial preparations have, in principle, been technically prepared based on the previous 4 Ministerial Joint Decrees (SKB), which have been revised twice.

"Schools that have prepared themselves maintain these preparations. Alhamdulillah, today Bogor City has entered PPKM level 3, so limited PTM is allowed again," he said.

Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 37 of 2021, it stipulates that regions that are at Level 3 are allowed to carry out PTM with a maximum capacity of 50 percent.

"The Bogor City Education Office is now preparing schools that will implement limited PTM. The condition is that students have undergone vaccinations," he said.

Therefore, the Bogor City Government is currently intensifying vaccination for adolescents aged 12-18 years, in order to accelerate the formation of communal immunity and achieve 100 percent vaccination.

Based on vaccination data at the Bogor City Health Office, the target recipients of vaccines for adolescents aged 12-18 years are 104,417 people. Adolescents who have received the first dose of vaccine are 15,978 people or 15.30 percent.

"The Education Office together with the Health Office will later carry out verification. Hopefully in the near future the City of Bogor can carry out a limited PTM trial," he said.
