BANYUWANGI - The Regent of Banyuwangi, East Java, Ipuk Fiestiandani admitted that there are still residents who have not received COVID-19 social assistance. The Ipuk Regent asked residents to report online.

"We all know that the situation on the ground is very dynamic. This pandemic has a very wide impact. There must be people who have not been reached for assistance. Don't be angry. Don't blame the village head, lurah, and RT/RW. You just need to report online," said Regent Ipuk, Thursday, August 26.

Regent Ipuk said the central, provincial, and Banyuwangi regency governments had distributed various social assistance schemes that reached more than 250,000 families who were included in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS).

Meanwhile, reporting can be done via bit.ly/bansosbwi. Regent Ipuk said, there are two types of reporters in the system. First, residents can report themselves.

"There are residents who previously had income, but now have difficulty. To be honest, the official social assistance data collection model does not reach because they do not know the day-by-day situation of changing people's lives. So they can report themselves in this system," he said.

Second, residents can report neighbors/other residents who need help.

"For example, seeing a neighbor who is in trouble but has not been assisted by the government, how about this Mr. Kades, no need to grumble, he can be helped to report through this system," said Regent Ipuk.

There is also a requirement for recipients of assistance to be domiciled in Banyuwangi and not recipients of PKH, BPNT, BLT Desa, BST Ministry of Social Affairs, BPUM, and APBD assistance.

"The report will be crossed with Smart Kampung data, in which there are already around 250,000 families receiving social assistance. It will be automatically rejected if the recipients of government assistance are registered," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Banyuwangi Communications and Information Service, Budi Santoso, added that registration will be opened step by step to complete verification and speed up distribution. The initial stage opens August 26-28.

"After that it is verified, and assistance can be immediately distributed. We designed a registration stage so that verification can be completed immediately and assistance can be distributed quickly," explained Budi.

Budi added that the system also provides a feature to check the social assistance recipients. Residents only need to enter their population identification number (NIK) to find out whether they are included in the list of beneficiaries or not.
