PDIP Batu City Reports Vandalism Of Puan Maharani's Billboards, Which Were Stricken By Open BO To The Police

KOTA BATU - The PDIP DPC Board of Batu City, East Java reported the vandalism of the billboard of DPR Speaker Puan Maharani which was crossed out with the words 'open BO' to the police.

"Our team and cadres have also been looking for clues to find the perpetrators while the legal process is ongoing," said the head of the People's Advocacy Legal Aid Agency (BBHAR) DPC PDIP Batu City, Kayat Harianto, Wednesday, August 25.

In the report to the police, physical evidence of billboards and photos of billboards at the location are also included. However, his party is still having trouble finding video evidence via CCTV around the location.

"We have coordinated with many parties, including the Transportation Agency, and we still haven't gotten the recording," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Batu Police, AKP Jeifson Sitorus, confirmed that he had received reports of vandalism of Puan Maharani's billboards. It has been conducting an investigation since the information was available.

"We have received the report. We will immediately move, currently under investigation, hopefully who the perpetrators can be revealed soon, "he said.

As previously reported, Puan Maharani's billboards were again the target of vandalism. There is an inscription open BO on Puan's billboard on Jalan Sultan Agung, Batu, East Java.

It appears that the bottom of the billboard was torn off. Then it is written "Open BO. Cox".

The crossed out billboard was only discovered on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 morning. It is not yet known who carried out this vandalism. However, it was allegedly carried out on Monday, August 23 night.

The chairman of the Batu City PDIP DPC, Punjul Santoso, asked the Satpol PP to dismantle the 3x5 meter billboard. He regretted this despicable act.

“This is a disgraceful attitude. I regret very much,” said Punjul Santoso.
