DEPOK – Viral on social media, a video of the burglary of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Depok City Natural Gas Station was caught red-handed. Members of the Cimanggis Metro Police who received the report immediately rushed to the location before the crowd became anarchic.

Two of the three perpetrators were arrested, while one of his colleagues is still being chased. Kasihumas Polsek Metro Cimanggis Ipda Zumpa said one perpetrator was still being chased by members of the Cimanggis sector police.

"Of the three perpetrators, two of them were arrested, namely YEC (34) and his colleague TA, (21) a resident of Lampung. While a friend, RY, managed to escape," said Zumpa when confirmed, Wednesday, August 25.

Zumpa said that the perpetrators of the ATM jamming mode at the Natural Gas gas station were reckless. The reason, they do in the afternoon around 14.00. But because people caught them, they tried to escape but failed.

Zumpa added that the perpetrators had their respective roles, namely RY, who managed to escape in charge of blocking the ATM machine by taking money using tweezers.

"YEC is in charge of turning off the electrical or thermal switch on the wall near the ATM entrance, while the TA is in charge of monitoring the ATM entrance and preventing people from using the ATM," he added.

"The location of the incident was full of people who were active. So that when the residents were secured viral on social media and we immediately took them to the Polsek to anticipate unwanted things, the perpetrator was subject to Article 363 regarding the theft of weights and the case is still under investigation," he said.
