Ganjar: Trial Rules For Opening Tourist Destinations Still Discussed

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said regulations regarding the implementation of trials and opening of tourist destinations during the pandemic were still being discussed by the Provincial and Regency / City Tourism Offices.

"Tourism is just a trial and there will be a meeting of all the heads of the tourism office in Dieng, yesterday I had my permission, the meeting was in an open place and the participants had to be antigenized, so that we could agree on the procedures for opening what the rules would be, then what facilities would it be? what must be provided, then the SOP so that if something happens related to COVID, the response can be faster," he said in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 24.

Ganjar stressed that every tourist spot that will conduct a trial is asked to report to the Central Java Provincial Government so that supervision and assistance can be carried out.

"I just want who will do the trial please report to the relevant agencies in the province. For example, tourism is to the tourism office, education is also to the education office, so we can know everything and we can carry out (trials)," he said.

In addition, the opening of tourist destinations must be carried out in stages and request that there are restrictions according to the agreed rules.

"Well, in this way, I hope that all the heads of the tourism offices in the regency/city will prepare. I want a limited trial, for example yesterday, what happened in Kendal. It has been done, we just need to evaluate it," he said.

Ganjar said that there are several tourist destinations that allow trials to be carried out, such as tourist objects in the form of open places because it is easier to regulate visitor restrictions and "social distancing" in tourist areas.
