Youtuber Muhammad's Alleged Blasphemy Case Rises Investigation, Get Ready For Suspects

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police has upgraded the status of the alleged blasphemy case against Islam with reported Muhammad Kece from investigation to investigation. So, in this case, a suspect will be identified.

"Investigators have stepped up this case from investigation to investigation," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, August 24.

The increase in the status of this case is because investigators consider the evidence collected to be sufficient enough to convince a criminal violation.

In addition, the evidence was strengthened by expert examination. At least, linguists and religious experts have been questioned about the case.

"Investigators have examined the complainants, also examined expert witnesses, including IT experts, Indonesian language experts, and religious law experts," said Ramadhan.

Previously, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, stated that Muhammad Kece's legal status was still a reported person. The case management process is still ongoing. "(The status) is still reported," said Rusdi.
