Buleleng Dandim Reports Beating Case To Police

BULELENG - Dandim 1606/Buleleng, Bali, reported residents of Sidetapa Village, Banjar District to the police. The Buleleng Dandim was beaten by residents when the joint team was about to do a COVID-19 test.

"Yes, last night (reported to the police) it turned out that it wasn't me who was beaten, it turned out to be someone else," said Dandim 1606/Buleleng Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Windra Lisrianto when contacted, Tuesday, August 24.

From the latest information he received, the residents of Sidetapa Village will come to the Kodim to mediate.

"We want to see how it goes. Information is now going to the Kodim. The point is this if they mediate and want to apologize, we are humans, we forgive each other. There is no problem," he said.

“But the way they made the viral video yesterday was just a piece. The final cut and hopefully it ends well."

The Buleleng Dandim emphasized that his party was only helping with the residents' COVID-19 tests. At that time, there were residents who refused to fight.

"That's actually not appropriate, we as good citizens support the government. My members beat me because I was beaten first. It's like that, so don't look at the problem from one side only," said Lt. Col. Windra.

Previously viral on social media, soldiers kicked and beat teenagers. The teenager was beaten because he had hit the Dandim of Buleleng from behind.
