The Sickle War On Bangka Street, The Warkir And Warmad Gangs Brush Each Other

JAKARTA - The joint team of the South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) with the Mampang Prapatan Police managed to secure 11 perpetrators for being involved in a deadly brawl on Jalan Bangka XI C, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

This incident killed one person from a group of teenagers who were involved in a brawl on Jalan Bangka, South Jakarta. Endra Baran Kumara (17) died during the brawl.

South Jakarta Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Antonius Agus Rahmanto explained, as many as 11 suspects came from two different brawl groups. They are known from the Warmad and Warkir 2019 groups. These two groups are a collection of teenagers on Jalan Bangka IX and Jalan Bangka XI.

"Seven suspects are members of the 2019 Warkir group from Jalan Bangka XI. While the other four suspects are members of the Warmad group from Jalan Bangka IX," he told reporters, Friday, August 20.

The seven suspects were the perpetrators of the beating from Jalan Bangka XI with the Warkir 2019 Instagram account. They ganged up on the victim, Endra Baran Kumara, who is the Warmad group.

Antonius said the beating occurred after the Warmad group from Jalan Bangka IX came to the Warkir group from Jalan Bangka XI.

"The victim died on the way to the hospital after receiving blows and slashes with a sickle," he said.

As a result of his actions, 7 suspects from the 2019 Warkir group were charged with Article 80 paragraph (3) of RI Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to RI Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 170 paragraph (2) to 3 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 years and or a maximum fine of Rp. 3 billion.

Meanwhile, 4 suspects from the Warmad group were snared on suspicion of a sharp weapon case and were subject to Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
