Here Are 32 Locations To Replace CFD Sudirman-Thamrin

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has canceled the activities of the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-MH Thamrin. Because it is feared that sports activities in one location will become a place of transmission for COVID-19.

Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared an alternative location spread across 32 points for sports activities every Sunday morning. It aims to unravel the crowd.

"There are 7 locations that are routinely used as HBKB areas, plus 25 roads which will also be optimized as public spaces for residents who will exercise," said Syafrin when contacted, Wednesday, June 24.

Now, residents can visit the distribution of CFD locations set in 5 administrative cities in Jakarta. Thus, Syafrin appealed to residents to no longer come to the Sudirman-Thamrin area to exercise during CFD.

"Don't come to Sudirman-Thamrin anymore so that it will create a crowd, but go straight to locations close to his house and can exercise there, either by bicycle or jogging," said Syafrin.

Based on the evaluation results of the DKI Provincial Government, there are quite a lot of people who carry out CFD activities in Sudirman-Thamrin. In detail, there are 21,342 pedestrians and 18,813 bicycle users.

"To avoid overcrowding, of course in this transitional period we have to spread out community activities for sports activities. From there, we hope that our joint efforts to suppress positive numbers are better in the future," he said.
