The Indonesian Model In The Vortex Of Narcotics Smuggling From Malaysia

JAKARTA - A model from Indonesia with the initials SR (34) was arrested by the police. He's involved in an international drug network. This arrest is the development of a drug case that ensnared Malaysian artist Dessy C (previously written with the initials DY).

SR was arrested Wednesday, December 11, night, in an elite residential area in Cibubur, East Jakarta. A small package of shabu-shabu and its suction device was confiscated from the house.

Currently, SR is taken to the police station for intensive examination in order to explore his role in the drug network from Malaysia.

"We have again secured a woman with the initials SR. She is suspected of being involved in a narcotics network, she is also a former catwalk model," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Narcotics Detective AKBP Erick Frendriz when confirmed, Thursday, December 12.

Meanwhile, Dessy, who is the main suspect in this case, admits that he has been involved in smuggling drugs from Malaysia to Indonesia several times.

From his confession to the police, Dessy said that he had been in action since January 2019. He had several times received packages containing shabu-shabu from neighboring countries which were packaged in various packaged foods.

"From the statement of the suspect DS, previously received a package of crystal methamphetamine packaged with sardines, soap and candy cans," said Erick.

Head of West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective AKP Arif Oktora said that the smuggling evidence reached 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 200 ecstasy pills. All these drugs are smuggled by road.

Dessy departed from Kuching to Indonesia via Pontianak. He went by bus overland. Furthermore, from Pontianak he continued his journey to Jakarta via airplane.

"From Kuching (Malaysia) to Pontianak using the land route (Bus). From Pontianak using a plane to Jakarta," said Arif.

Dessy was arrested in an apartment unit in the Tangerang City area. When he was arrested, the police found a can of cocoa powder which after being checked turned out to be filled with crystal meth and ecstasy.

Previously given, the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective Unit revealed the smuggling of narcotics from Malaysia. A woman named Dessy C was named a suspect after being arrested in an apartment unit in the Tangerang City area.

During the arrest, the police found several cans of cocoa powder which turned out to be filled with crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy. In fact, it was recently discovered that Dessy was an artist in Malaysia.
