Unscrupulous Community Organizations Who Often Palak Traders In Pondok Aren Again Investigated By Police

JAKARTA – A number of traders in Pondok Aren, South Jakarta experienced burglary by a group of thugs. Precisely on Jalan Ceger Raya, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang City, the traders claimed to be blackmailed by thugs who claimed to be from one of the mass organizations (ormas).

The Pondok Aren police, who received a report from the local community, immediately moved and investigated this case. According to the information obtained, the members of the mass organization asked for between Rp. 10,000 and Rp. 20,000.

"Police have investigated the report of this burglary," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Pondok Aren Police, Iptu Rony Setiawan when confirmed, Friday, August 13.

Rony can explain in detail about the investigation carried out. According to him, the progress of the investigation results will be conveyed as soon as possible.

"(Not yet), still under investigation," he said.

Previously, the Pondok Aren Sector Police had arrested a thug from the Ceger area on 19 July. This police action is a follow-up to the viral letter from Pondok Aren residents on social media which contains complaints about the problem of thugs asking for rations in this area.

However, on August 4, a trader at the location said that thuggery was still going on. Although two months earlier, the police had arrested a thug.
