JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Heritage Flag Raisers Troop (Paskibraka) at the Merdeka Palace courtyard, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Central Jakarta, today.
Prior to the inauguration, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali guided the reading of the Paskibraka pledge in front of the Red and White flag.
Febitri Nur Tsabitah as the leader of the ceremony started the pledge by holding the Red and White flag with her right hand and placing it on her left chest. After reading the pledge, Amali led Febitri to kiss the Red and White flag.
In the inauguration of 68 Paskibraka members, Jokowi acted as the ceremonial coach. Jokowi said they would be tasked with flying the Red and White Sang Saka on Indonesian Independence Day.
