When PPKM Becomes A Wild Racing Event In Senayan, Dozens Of Wild Racing Vehicles Are Confiscated By The Police

JAKARTA - Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya took action against 30 cars on Jalan Asia Afrika, Senayan, Central Jakarta. Because, dozens of vehicles involved in illegal racing.

"We have secured approximately 30 four-wheeled vehicles on Friday, August 6 at around 01.00 WIB," said Head of the Sat Pamwal Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, AKP Harnas in his statement, Friday, August 6.

The action, continued Harnas, was carried out because the illegal racing action clearly violated the rules. Moreover, currently the government's policy regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) is still being implemented.

"Patwal's ranks carry out enforcement activities for the community, especially four-wheeled vehicles that still carry out illegal racing activities in the Asia Afrika Street area, especially in front of the Senayan City Mall," said Harnas.

The form of action for dozens of vehicles is in the form of a ticket. The police used Law No. 22 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ).

"While checking the administration and of course there are actions that we take through ticketing," said Harnas.
