JAKARTA - Politician and telematics expert Roy Suryo also spoke about the Dinar Candy polemic. The former Minister of Youth and Sports gave an explanation based on the questions he faced.

"Many have questioned why the action taken by Dian Meswari or Dinar Candy who wore a bikini on Lebak Bulus Street was also subject to the ITE Law in addition to the Pornography Law, even though it was his brother who filmed the scene." said Roy Suryo to VOI, Friday 6 August.

Roy judged that what Dinar Candy (bikini) was wearing was misplaced. The skimpy clothes that Dinar Candy wore were inappropriate at that location.

“The problem is that apart from the PPKM protest action, it is "in the wrong place", because the clothes used are not normally worn on the side of the road. For example, the action is carried out on the edge of the swimming pool of a hotel / appropriate tourist spot or on the edge of the beach, for example. The footage of the action was posted on his personal IG (before it was deleted now).” said Roy, a politician from the Democratic party.

The debate on social media regarding the article imposed by Dinar Candy, Roy judged that it was correct.

“So it is true that Ybs was investigated for the violation of the Pornography Law No. 44/2008 and UU-ITE No. 19/2016 which is a revision of Law No. 11/2008, because DC is the perpetrator of the pornography act and at the same time spreading the footage on his personal IG account. ” said Roy emphatically.
