Akidi Tio's Son Involved In The Alleged Billion Fraud Case Handled By Polda Metro Jaya, Here's The Chronology

JAKARTA - Akidi Tio's son Heryanti is suspected of being involved in a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement handled by the Metro Jaya Police. This case stems from a business worth Rp7.9 billion.

"Around December 2018, the reported person invited the JBK reporting brother to do business," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Tuesday, August 3.

In the cooperation between the two, they run three businesses. Starting from jewelry, procurement of cooling machines or Air Conditioner (AC), and building interior work.

So, in this cooperation, Heryanti had to pay Rp7.9 billion to her business partner. But, he did not pay it and only made a sweet promise.

"But until early 2020, the reported person or brother H had not fulfilled that promise. So, it was reported to the Metro Jaya Police, sister H as the reported party," said Yusri.

After the case was handled, Heryanti was also asked for information at the beginning of the investigation process. He admitted his actions and said he had time to return some of the debt.

"The Reported Party himself admitted that from Rp. 7.9 billion, Rp. 1.3 billion was returned to the complainant in stages, but until the last time we summoned Sister H for examination, the first and second summons were not attended," said Yusri.

Reporter Revoke Report

Then, during the investigation process, the team of investigators who were going to pick up Heryanti because she had never been present in the two summons for examination received a letter from the reporting party. The content is about the request for revocation of the report.

"Want to enter the summons to bring the last July 28, the reporter then withdrew the report. In the form of sending a letter to withdraw the report against sister H," said Yusri.

Thus, the investigators decided to postpone arresting Heryanti and planned to invite the reporting party. The aim is to clarify the reasons behind the revocation of the report.

However, regarding the time of the invitation, Yusri could not confirm it. Later, investigators will determine it.

"Well, now investigators will clarify the reporter again. We plan to invite him to be clarified again," said Yusri.
