New Cases Of COVID-19 In Bantul Increase By 625, Total 43,467 People Exposed

BANTUL - Positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), in the last day increased by 625 people. The total number of cases is 43,467 people.

The Bantul COVID-19 Task Force in an official statement, Monday night, in Bantul stated that the additional new cases came from Banguntapan sub-district 89 people, Bambanglipuro 73 people, Jetis 68 people, Sewon also 68 people, Bantul 63 people, and Piyungan 45 people, and Srandakan 43 people.

Then from Imogiri 31 people, then Kretek, Pleret, and Kasihan each 26 people, from Pajangan 22 people, Sedayu 17 people, Pandak 15 people, the rest from Sanden five people, Pundong also five people, and Dlingo three people.

However, in the same period there were 340 confirmed COVID-19 patients who were declared cured, bringing the cumulative total recovery rate in Bantul to 28,686 people.

Meanwhile, there were 21 confirmed cases of COVID-19 who died on Monday, bringing the total number of deaths in Bantul to 1,021 people.

With the development of daily cases, the data on active cases of COVID-19 or patients from Bantul who are still undergoing quarantine in hospitals or shelters or in self-isolation as of Monday, August 2 are as many as 13,760 people.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bantul, Abdul Halim Muslih, invited the entire community to protect themselves, their families and those around them to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program by registering through the followvaksin.bantulkab.go.id page which has been developed by the Bantul Regency Government.

"Registration for COVID-19 vaccination can only be done once by the same NIK (Population Identification Number), please be responsible for the data entered," said the Regent, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 2.

Residents are invited to jointly break the chain of spread of COVID-19 by implementing clean and healthy living behaviors, and 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.
