Bogor Regent Adjusts Rules On PPKM Level 4 Extension Period

BOGOR - The Regent of Bogor, West Java, Ade Yasin is trying to harmonize the rules for the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM) level 4, even though the criteria for the area are included in level 3.

"We are in line with PPKM level 4 rules, because Bogor Regency is an agglomeration area," said Ade Yasin in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 2.

According to him, in the extension of the PPKM on August 3-9 2021, Bogor Regency will still refer to the PPKM level 4 rules so that there is no easing of any rules when compared to PPKM on July 26-2 August 2021.

The head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that the results of records from the West Java Provincial Government showed that the area was included in 14 regions which had dropped from level 4 to level 3.

"We are at level 3, that's an assessment from the provincial government, but because Bogor Regency is in an agglomeration area, the rules follow PPKM level 4," said Ade Yasin.

Even so, according to him, the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force continues to strive to reduce the death rate and increase the recovery rate of COVID-19 patients. One of them is by providing oxygen cylinders, increasing hospital capacity, and providing free medicine.

As is known, President Joko Widodo announced the extension of PPKM level 4 for the period 3-9 August 2021.

"Taking into account several indicators of cases this week, the government has decided to continue PPKM level 4 from August 3-9, 2021 in certain regencies and cities by adjusting community activity and mobility arrangements according to the conditions of each region," said President Jokowi in a statement. which was broadcast through the Presidential Secretariat Youtube channel.

Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 24 of 2021 dated July 25, 2021, the areas that implement PPKM level 4 consist of the first, DKI Jakarta Province in the Thousand Islands Regency, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Jakarta Center.

Second, Banten Province in South Tangerang City, Tangerang City, Serang City, Tangerang Regency, and Cilegon City.

Third, West Java Province, consisting of Purwakarta, Karawang, Bekasi, Sumedang, Bogor, West Bandung, Bandung, Sukabumi City, Depok, Cirebon, Cimahi, Bogor, Bekasi, Banjar, Bandung and Tasikmalaya Regencies.

Fourth, Central Java Province in Jepara, Sukoharjo, Rembang, Pati, Kudus, Klaten, Kebumen, Banyumas, Wonosobo, Wonogiri, Temanggung, Tegal, Sragen, Semarang, Purworejo, Kendal, Karanganyar, Demak, Batang, Banjarnegara, Tegal City, Surakarta, Semarang, Salatiga, Magelang, and Pekalongan
