Nimboran Papua Police Burned, Perpetrators Family Of Shooting Victims

JAYAPURA - The Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that the arson case of the Nimboran Police, Jayapura Regency was allegedly carried out by the family of the shooting victim whose identity was not yet known.

The Papuan Police Chief, revealed that the case started with a report of an illegal action so that members of the Nimboran Sector Police came to the scene and tried to secure the Pemalangan perpetrator who was drunk from alcoholic beverages but they resisted.

They even attacked using crowbars at the police officers who were trying to secure them, said the Papuan Police Chief.

He said the report he received revealed that Bripka PY tried to give warning shots but the bullet hit the victim and he was immediately evacuated to Youwari Hospital, Doyo.

The victim was reported dead, so the family immediately attacked and set fire to the Nimboran Police Headquarters.

There were no casualties in the action but the entire building was reported to have been burned down

Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen plans to visit the location to find out for sure the cause.

"Tuesday (3/8) I scheduled a visit to the Nimboran Police," said Inspector General Fakhiri, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 2.
