However, an epidemiologist from Australia's Griffith University, Dicky Budiman, asked Anies to reconsider the application of the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for residents to carry out activities.

Because, of the 7.5 million vaccination achievements as of last Saturday, July 31, it turns out that there are only 4.2 million Jakarta residents who have been vaccinated. Meanwhile, around 3 million people vaccinated by the DKI Provincial Government are non-DKI residents.

In addition, Dicky asked Anies to review the distribution of vaccinations in each sub-district. The good thing, said Dicky, is that the DKI Provincial Government has ensured that at least 50 percent of the population living in each sub-district has been vaccinated.

"Make sure that at least 50 percent of each sub-district has been vaccinated evenly. Do not let it be below that, there are 20 percent, 30 percent. This must be ensured to ensure equality and justice. If that has happened, it can be implemented," he said. .

For information, Anies has issued vaccination rules as a condition for activities. The rules are applied to employees and customers of restaurants, food stalls, offices, malls, traditional markets, salons, hotels, to wedding guests.

He said, this effort was made to suppress the spread of the virus when non-essential sectors were opened. "Looking at the fact that in Jakarta the speed of vaccine delivery is quite high, and the reach of those who have been vaccinated has reached 7.5 million. Furthermore, Anies said that the opening in each sector will be carried out in stages, and it is certain that this stage must be related to vaccination.
