Bobby Nasution Inaugurated The Ex-Hotel Soechi Medan's Central Isolation Place

MEDAN - The Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra Bobby Nasution inaugurated the former Soechi Hotel as a centralized isolation place (isoter). This place is for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms and the category of asymptomatic people (OTG).

"A total of two isoters are owned by the Medan City Government," said Bobby Nasution at the ex-Hotel Soechi location with the Medan Police Chief Grand Commissioner Riko Sunarko and Dandim 0201/BS Colonel Inf Agus Setiadar.

Bobby Nasution said the ex-Soechi Hotel centralized isolation area has a capacity of 240 bedrooms and is prioritized for handling OTG patients.

"The criteria that we prioritize are mild and OTG. Because this OTG has more roles in the spread of COVID-19," he said.

Bobby Nasution ensured that patients undergoing isolation at the former Soechi Hotel would not be charged or free of charge.

"The fee is free, there is no charge at all. Everything from food, vitamins, complete medicines. We specialize in medicine here, no outsiders can buy medicines here," he said.

This isolation place is equipped with sports facilities, such as tennis courts, basketball, and other sports facilities that aim to increase the immunity of COVID-19 patients in order to speed up healing.

"Fitness facilities are also available. Because COVID-19 is not just a matter of taking vitamins, but our immunity can be formed from how we feel, whether we are happy or happy," continued Bobby Nasution.

This centralized isolation place will be supervised and monitored by health workers so that the health condition of its residents can be well maintained so that it is hoped that it will be able to prevent death rates from undergoing self-isolation.
