Depok Deputy Walkot Review UIII Development: Cool, Hopefully It Will Be Completed Soon

DEPOK - Deputy Mayor of Depok Imam Budi Hartono inspected the construction of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) campus. Imam hopes that the construction process can be completed soon.

"Today we saw the readiness of the beautiful, beautiful and cool UIII building. Hopefully it will be realized soon and all the buildings will be completed," said Imam, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 31.

According to Imam, the existence of this university is one of the efforts in realizing Depok City's 2006-2025 Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD), which is to become a commercial and service city that is environmentally and religiously friendly.

His party also conveyed hopes and aspirations to the UIII management, including preserving nature around the campus together, and providing opportunities for Depok City children to continue their studies in that place.

"We really hope that UIII can realize Depok's hopes of having an international religious school," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UIII, Komaruddin Hidayat said that his party welcomed the visit of the Deputy Mayor of Depok. According to him, since the beginning of the development plan until now, the Depok City Government has continued to provide support to UIII.

"The UIII campus will be the pride of Depok City and the Indonesian nation, we have an international Islamic university," he said.
