Interpol Issues Red Notice Harun Masiku, KPK: We Hope To Arrest Soon

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has informed that the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia has issued a red notice on behalf of Harun Masiku.

"The latest information that we received is that Interpol has indeed issued a red notice on behalf of DPO (List of People Searching) Harun Masiku," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

The former PDIP candidate is a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the appointment of members of the DPR RI elected in 2019-2024 who have had DPO status since January 2020.

Ali said the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to work and is seriously trying to find and arrest the suspect Harun, who had previously been appointed as a DPO for the KPK in the case of interim turnover (PAW) corruption for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

"The KPK continues to carry out tracking efforts by cooperating with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, the Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and NCB Interpol," he said.

The KPK, said Ali, urges all people who know about Harun's whereabouts, both at home and abroad, to immediately submit information to the KPK, Polri, Kemenkumham and NCB Interpol.

"KPK hopes to immediately arrest DPO Harun Masiku," said Ali.

To note, the case also ensnared former member of the General Election Commission (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan as a suspect. The KPK has executed Wahyu to the Kedungpane Semarang Class I Prison to serve 7 years in prison.

Previously, the decision of the cassation against Wahyu was sentenced to 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million subsidiary 6 months in prison plus the revocation of political rights in holding public office for 5 years commencing after serving the main sentence.

Meanwhile, PDI-P cadre Agustiani Tio Fridelina who took part in accepting a bribe of Rp600 million from Harun together with Wahyu was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

In this case, Wahyu and Agustiani were proven to have received 19,000 Singapore dollars and 38,350 Singapore dollars or a total of Rp600 million from Harun.

The purpose of receiving the money is so that Wahyu can try to get the KPU to approve the PAW application for members of the DPR RI from the PDIP Faction in the South Sumatra 1 electoral district, namely Riezky Aprilia to Harun.
