JAKARTA - Head of the Data and Information Technology Division of the COVID-19 Task Force, Dewi Nur Aisyah, said that currently North Maluku is the province with the lowest compliance with health protocols compared to other provinces.

This indicator is seen from the reporting of the PPKM monitoring post at the kelurahan or village level which is monitored every week. This week, data is monitored from 19 to 25 July 2021.

Compliance in an area is said to be low if it is below 75 percent of its citizens who apply health protocols, both compliance with residents wearing masks and maintaining distance.

"We see that in North Maluku, about 67 percent of sub-districts or villages have low compliance with masks. Then, the lowest compliance with social distancing is also mostly in North Maluku, namely 100 percent of villages or villages with low compliance," Dewi said in a virtual discussion, Wednesday, July 28.

Meanwhile, the lowest compliance in wearing masks after North Maluku was Central Sulawesi with 60 percent and Gorontalo with 56 percent of kelurahan or villages.

If viewed per island, Dewi said that compliance with health protocols outside Java and Bali is lower than compliance in Java and Bali.

"The islands of Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua have wide kelurahan or village coverage with low compliance with health protocols," he said.

Dewi said that the lowest health protocol compliance was on the island of Sulawesi. On average, around 46.39 percent of urban villages on the island of Sulawesi have low compliance in using masks and 42.75 percent in maintaining distance.

"We found that the number of non-compliance coverage from urban villages with the lowest compliance rate was the highest on the island of Sulawesi, this is almost half," he concluded.
