Social Minister Angry Social Assistance Recipients Asked For Crackle Money: Don't Want It, Don't Be Afraid I Guarantee

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini asked the people who received social assistance (Bansos) including Cash Social Assistance (BST), Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)/Sembako Program to refuse if asked for levies in any form.

During a surprise inspection at RT 03/ RW 03 Tangerang City, Banten, Minister Risma was surprised when she met a BPNT recipient, Aryanih, who admitted that certain parties had asked for crackle money.

"Mother should not want to be asked for plastic bag money or whatever the name is by certain parties, because mother's rights are full and without any deductions. Mother, don't be afraid, I guarantee it, so write me a letter about this," said Risma, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 28.

There was also a resident who received BPNT, Maryanih, who revealed that the price of the component goods received did not match or did not reach Rp. 200,000 per month.

"Earlier it was calculated by Mr. from the Food Task Force/Police Headquarters the price of the components received was only Rp. 177,000 from what should have been Rp. 200,000. So there was Rp. 23,000, try to imagine Rp. 23,000 times 18.8 million," said Risma angrily. .

The recipients of BST, BPNT/Sembako Program and PKH were asked to help the government so that the aid could reach the beneficiaries and there were no cuts by anyone.

"Please help us to find out whether there are cuts or not, if things continue like this, the business cannot be finished and when the residents want to be prosperous," he said.

Previously, Risma met and had a dialogue with residents who were queuing for BST disbursement by implementing health protocols (prokes) on Jalan H Diran RT 08/RW 01, Gg Rawa 1, Pinang Village, Pinang District, Tangerang City. At the location of the BST search, there were 110 residents who received BST.

Risma invites the community to try to be empowered and not always be the recipient of social assistance. For example, in the city of Surabaya, there are community empowerment activities called Kampung Kue and Kampung Lontong which are focused on making cakes and lontong

Not only that, Risma also motivates social assistance recipients to change through entrepreneurship programs such as raising chickens and raising laying hens.

"I am always enthusiastic about motivating people to want to change through productive business programs, including raising chickens and raising laying hens, the results of which can improve family welfare," he said.
