JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) provided assistance with 500 food packages to communities affected by PPKM who work as scavengers at the Piyungan Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST), Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. "Today we provided 500 food packages for our brothers at the TPST Piyungan Yogyakarta. We will try to provide support for basic food assistance to the community, hopefully it can help ease the burden due to COVID-19," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 27. In addition to providing food packages, he also educates the community at the Piyungan TPST regarding the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic which are quite severe. The education provided is about insight into the application of health protocols (prokes) and ways to prevent COVID-19. “Here, we also provide education, notification to them so that they know that the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic is quite dangerous.
