Cianjur Difficulty Reaching Vaccination Targets Due To Lack Of Vaccine Stock From The Center

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Health Office, West Java, is having difficulty meeting the vaccination target due to the lack of vaccine stock obtained from the central government. Vaccinations that have been running have only reached 10.5 percent or 200 thousand people.

"Currently, vaccination has entered phase III for the general public, but for the target of 1.9 million people getting vaccinated in Cianjur, only 200 thousand people have been achieved," said Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center Spokesperson, Dr. Between, Monday, July 26.

Yusman said that the current stock of vaccines is very limited, so the number of vaccination participants is limited and cannot carry out mass vaccinations because the stock of vaccines is still empty, only what is left for the second vaccination

"Even though at this time, stage III vaccination is in great demand by the general public, but the implementation has not been maximized because the vaccine stock is limited. The available stock is only for the second scheduled vaccination, so the stock is empty," he continued.

His party has proposed to increase the stock of vaccines, but there is no new shipment yet, so he hopes the stock can be increased so that the vaccination target can be achieved, so that the target per day is 8,000 people get vaccinated.

Meanwhile, of the 10.5 percent who have received the vaccination, including the elderly, the number has only reached 18.00 people or 10 percent of the target of 180 thousand elderly people.

Various obstacles made it difficult for the task force to boost vaccination for the elderly, such as the geographical location far from the vaccination service center and the lack of desire for the elderly to get vaccinated.

"So far, the interest of the elderly to get vaccinated is still minimal, so various ways are carried out, including coordinating with existing institutions and institutions such as the Polres and the Cianjur Kodim, to increase the elderly participation rate to be vaccinated," he said.
