Several Adjustments Ordered By President Jokowi In Extending PPKM Level 4

JAKARTA – PPKM level 4 will be implemented from July 26, 2021 to August 2, 2021. This time there are several adjustments made by the government. Among other things, small traders are allowed to open until 21.00 WIB with strict health protocols.

"I decided to continue PPKM level 4. However, we will make some adjustments related to community activities and mobility which will be carried out in stages with extra careful implementation," said President Jokowi in a press statement via the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel in Jakarta, Sunday. .

Other adjustments include people's markets that sell basic needs or basic necessities that are allowed to open as usual with strict health protocols. For, people's markets that sell other than basic daily necessities can operate with a maximum capacity of 50 percent until 15:00 local time. Further arrangements regarding this matter will be regulated by the local government.

"Street vendors, grocery stores, voucher agents or outlets, barbershops, laundry, small workshops, hawkers, vehicle washes and other similar small businesses are allowed to open with strict health protocols until 21.00 with technical arrangements prepared by the local government. , said the President.

Furthermore, food stalls, street vendors, hawker stalls, and the like that have their place of business in an open space are allowed to operate with strict health protocols until 20.00 local time. Visitors who consume or eat at the place of business are given a maximum of 20 minutes.

President Jokowi said that the policy to continue PPKM level 4 had considered aspects of health, economy, and social dynamics of the community. With that in mind, President Jokowi also set several adjustments to the PPKM policy related to community activities and mobility.

The Head of State also said that to reduce the burden on society, the government also increased social assistance and assistance for micro and small businesses. "An explanation will be given by the coordinating minister and related ministers," said President Jokowi.
