JAYAPURA - Members of the armed group Osimin Wenda alias Usimin Telenggen (30 years), were arrested in Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua.

The Director of Special Crimes at the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Faisal Ramadani, admitted that there were arrests of armed criminal members who were included in the Papua Regional Police's DPO issued since 2018.

From the available data, it was revealed that he was involved in the attack on the Pirime Police in November 2012, including the shooting of the Papuan Police Chief, Tito Karnavian at that time.

Wenda was arrested by the Papua Regional Police Special Team on July 15, 2013 and sentenced to life in 2014. However, on January 18, 2018, he escaped from the Abepura prison, and was involved in the shooting of an ojek driver on behalf of Yanmar in Popome Village, Lanny Jaya Regency, and was involved in a shootout. with Nemangkawi personnel in Popome Village in 2018.

Wenda was actively involved in a number of shootings at the KKB and kept changing groups because previously, apart from joining Puron Wenda, he also joined Lekagak Telenggen.
